Ringling MuseumManatee County was originally discovered by Hernando De Soto in 1539. Manatee County was inhabited by Native Americans for thousands of years. It is thought to be the landing site for the De Soto Expedition. Established in 1888, it was named for the manatee or sea cow.

Boasting countless beautiful water and beachfront communities, Anna Maria, Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and Longboat Key just to name a few, it is a hot spot for those who like to have the best of both worlds, a great place to work and raise a family as well as play hard. It attracts tourists from around the world annually.
